About me
I am a board-certified ophthalmologist committed to providing thoughtful, personalized eye care tailored to each patient’s individual needs. I offer comprehensive eye health exams as well as specialized care for dry eye disease, cataracts, and glaucoma, with a focus on long-term eye health and quality of life.
I am proud to serve the diverse Los Angeles community in which I was raised. I am fluent in English and Spanish, and our office team includes in-person staff fluent in Armenian, allowing us to provide clear, compassionate care to patients from many backgrounds.
I attended Polytechnic School in Pasadena before graduating summa cum laude from the University of Southern California. I completed medical school at Columbia University in New York, followed by ophthalmology residency at Columbia, where I served as Chief Resident. I then returned to California to complete a glaucoma fellowship at Stanford University. During my training, I authored numerous scientific articles and book chapters on glaucoma diagnosis and management, eye trauma, and improving access to eye care in the community.
I currently practice within a multi-specialty ophthalmology group at A Center for VisionCare in Burbank. Our team includes board-certified, fellowship-trained ophthalmologists specializing in cornea, cataract, glaucoma, retina, and oculoplastics. This collaborative approach allows us to provide comprehensive care—including urgent and emergency eye conditions—all in one place.
Above all, I believe patients should feel informed, heard, and confident in their care. I prioritize shared decision-making and take the time to explain diagnoses and treatment options in a clear, approachable way. I am patient, attentive, and always make space for questions, so you can feel comfortable and empowered at every step of your care. I look forward to partnering with you in protecting your vision.
